QUALIFICATIONS

 

- Be a United States Citizen

- Be 18 years of age

- Possess a high school diploma or GED

- Possess a valid Virginia Drivers License

- No felony convictions

- No conviction of any offense that would involve moral turpitude or domestic violence

- Pass written examination

- Pass an extensive background investigation

- Complete a medical evaluation

- Complete law enforcement academy and qualify with service weapon
