Registration is now open for the 2024
Sheriff Timothy w. Chilton Youth Sports camps

The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office summer sports camps are designed to bring the community and law enforcement officers together to interact with children and teenagers in the community.

In 2012, the Sheriff’s Office offered a football and baseball camp at no cost to participants. In the years since, we have been able to expand the size and focus of the camps. Once again this year we are offering a football camp, cheerleading camp, soccer camp, baseball/softball camps and basketball camp. All camps are offered at no cost to the participants due to the gracious support of businesses and private donors in the community!

Our summer sports camps have been in conjunction with area youth sports associations including Culpeper Little League and Culpeper Soccer Club. Culpeper Little League and its coaches have generously donated the use of all equipment for our youth baseball and softball camp. Culpeper Soccer Club has supplied not only all equipment, but has volunteered their coaches and players to help plan and organize a soccer camp for every age group.

In each camp the basic fundamentals of the sport are taught to children aged 8 to 15. Each player will have the opportunity to learn new skills and to improve their existing skills. There is a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, respect and teamwork. The goal for each camp is to have participants use lessons related to good sportsmanship and respect on the field and in their everyday lives as they continue to grow and mature.
