The cleanup will focus on Highway 29 starting at Alanthus Rd. This area has been identified as a priority location for cleanup efforts.
Volunteers should plan to park at the Commuter Lot at the intersection of Highway 29 and Alanthus Rd. between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m for a briefing, and to be issued safety vests.
The Sheriff’s Office will partner with VDOT and other local agencies to ensure the event is conducted safely. Citizens should expect a heavy law enforcement presence in the area throughout the event to assist with traffic control and volunteer safety.
High-visibility safety vests will be provided. Volunteers who already own high-visibility vests are encouraged to bring them.
Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to sign up in advance.
The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the community’s continued support and looks forward to working together to keep Culpeper clean and safe.
